Access
Section titled “Access”Permission denied
Section titled “Permission denied”The page lists the Required capability and your Current role. Also returned as permission required.
Cause: Your role does not include the capability this page needs. Fix: Ask for a role edit in Settings > Roles and permissions, or a different role in Settings > People. See Roles and permissions.
If you don’t see this menu or button, your role doesn’t include it. Ask someone who can edit roles (Owners and Admins by default).
No application access
Section titled “No application access”Full message: Your account is active, but its current role does not include a Rowseta application capability.
Cause: Your current role has no application capability. Fix: See Roles and permissions and ask for a role edit or assignment in People.
Rowseta is for staff
Section titled “Rowseta is for staff”Full message: Students can view their own numbers only in an insight widget.
Fix: See the fixed launch rules for app and widget access.
Page not found
Section titled “Page not found”Full message: We couldn’t find that page. It may have moved or never existed.
Fix: Select Go to home.
This page couldn’t load
Section titled “This page couldn’t load”Full message: Try refreshing, or go back and try again. If this keeps happening, contact your administrator.
Fix: Refresh the page. If it keeps happening, send the technical details shown to support.
You are sent back to Home when you open Reports, Insight widgets or Datasets
Section titled “You are sent back to Home when you open Reports, Insight widgets or Datasets”Cause: The first sync has not finished yet. Fix: Finish the first sync.
Organization settings
Section titled “Organization settings”Failed to save settings
Section titled “Failed to save settings”Also: institution name cannot be empty, invalid timezone.
Fix: Make sure the Organization name is not empty and a timezone is chosen, then save again.
Your Rowseta address cannot be changed.
Section titled “Your Rowseta address cannot be changed.”Fix: Nothing to fix. Contact support if you truly need a different address.
Region cannot be changed self-serve. Contact support to migrate.
Section titled “Region cannot be changed self-serve. Contact support to migrate.”Also: Unknown region if the region could not load (reload the page).
Fix: Contact support. See Your data region.
A sync is running, so this Organization can’t be deleted yet.
Section titled “A sync is running, so this Organization can’t be deleted yet.”Full message: Wait for the sync to finish, or stop it on the Sync page, then try again. Also: account deletion is waiting for the active sync to stop.
Fix: Stop the sync on Data > Sync, or wait, then delete again.
Rowseta is still saving work for this Organization. Try again in a few minutes.
Section titled “Rowseta is still saving work for this Organization. Try again in a few minutes.”Fix: Wait a few minutes and try again.
Could not delete the Organization.
Section titled “Could not delete the Organization.”Fix: Try again. Contact support if it persists.
Account state
Section titled “Account state”Account locked. Reactivate to restore access
Section titled “Account locked. Reactivate to restore access”Also: account is read-only due to payment failure, this account has been permanently deleted.
Cause: Your Organization’s billing state limits access. Fix: Open the Billing page or ask for help there. See Billing.
Evaluation
Section titled “Evaluation”Evaluation. N of N manual syncs remaining.
Section titled “Evaluation. N of N manual syncs remaining.”Also: Your evaluation data was last synced on …, Your Organization has limited manual syncs.
Cause: Your Organization is in Evaluation. Fix: Nothing to fix. See Billing for paid plans.
In Evaluation, these courses count toward your Organization’s placed-course limit.

Audit log
Section titled “Audit log”Audit log could not be loaded.
Section titled “Audit log could not be loaded.”Full message: Refresh the page or adjust the filters and try again. Also: invalid page, invalid date_from, date_from must not be after date_to.
Fix: Refresh the page, or correct the dates in the filters.
No matching audit log entries found. / No audit log entries yet.
Section titled “No matching audit log entries found. / No audit log entries yet.”Fix: Clear the filters.
LTI launch denied (audit log entry)
Section titled “LTI launch denied (audit log entry)”Cause: Someone’s Brightspace launch was refused. Fix: Look up the reason in Brightspace launch messages and Fix launch problems.
Invalid LTI setup link used (audit log entry)
Section titled “Invalid LTI setup link used (audit log entry)”Cause: An expired, revoked or wrong setup link was used in Brightspace. Fix: Generate a new setup link. See Register Rowseta for LTI launches.
